THE SCIENCE

Why Proper Care Matters

BuraCare socks are designed with graduated compression, meaning the support is firmest at the ankle and gradually eases as it moves up the leg. This structure helps provide consistent, comfortable support throughout the day.

Following the recommended care and usage steps helps maintain this balance, so your socks continue to feel supportive and comfortable over time.

Before You Put Them On

Morning Routine

Put your socks on in the morning, when your legs are least swollen.

Dry Skin

Make sure your legs are fully dry before putting the socks on.

Remove Jewelry

Take off rings or bracelets to avoid snagging the fabric.

Smooth Nails

Check that fingernails are smooth to help prevent pulls or damage.

Step-by-Step Application

Follow these steps toput on your compression socks comfortably and with ease.

1

Turn Inside-Out

Reach inside the sock and turn it inside-out down to the heel.

2

Insert Foot

Slide your foot in and gently position your heel into the heel pocket.

3

Unroll Up the Leg

Slowly unroll the sock upward, guiding it evenly over your calf.

4

Smooth the Fabric

Adjust the fabric so it lies flat against your leg, without folds or bunching.

5

Check the Top Band

The top band should sit about one inch, or two fingers, below the knee.

Washing & Maintenance

Lukewarm Wash

Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle cycle using lukewarm water.

Air Dry Only

Lay flat or hang to air dry. Avoid tumble drying or ironing.

No Harsh Chemicals

Avoid bleach and fabric softeners to help preserve elasticity.

Know When to Replace

Compression softens over time. If the socks no longer feel supportive or stay in place, it may be time to replace them.

Important

Safe Removal: Roll, Don't Pull

Avoid pulling the socks off quickly, as this can strain the fabric over time.

  • Start at the top band
  • Gently roll the sock down the leg
  • Ease it off carefully around the heel

Care Tip: Rotation

Allowing time between wears helps compression socks keep their shape longer. If possible, rotating pairs between wears and washes can help maintain consistent support over time.
